Waterhog mats are one of the best selling entrance mats sold in the US. When comparing against other mats, the waterhog will usually last longer.
The entrance mat is usually an overlooked part of your home with any old mat thrown down as long as it looks nice. But how effective is it? Does it actually do what it’s supposed to do, which is to help prevent so much dirt being brought into your home on your shoes.
As mentioned above waterhog entrance mats are the most popular of all mats in the US and this is because they do their job well. Below I will look at what a Waterhog Mat is.

Although there are a number of types of waterhog door mats which I will list further down, the mats have the same attributes which are:

Waterhog Grand Classic Mat One Oval / One Straight 4'W X 5'11"L Gray

· Supplied with either a heavy duty rubber edge or matching fabric border.

· The surface of the mats are made of anti-static polypropylene material that ensure the mats dry quickly and will not rot or fade, meaning they are great for either indoor or outdoor use.

· They have a raised pattern which are very aggressive at scraping the dirt and water from your shoes. (This is great as over 70% of dirt is brought in from outside on the soles of your shoes.)

· They also have a water dam around the outside of the mat, so any water it collects doesn’t run off the mat and onto your carpet.

· They can hold up to 1.5 gallons water per square yard.

· Considering the amount of dirt and water collected you may think cleaning would cause some problems but they are very easy to clean. Simply vacuum them or hose off and hang them out to dry, couldn’t be more simpler.

· The durability of a waterhog mat is fantastic meaning they last a long time

· They are made with rubber backing which ensures a good grip with minimum slipping

ECO Waterhog Mats

A well as offering multiple types of mats you can also buy ECO Friendly version mats. They use PET polyester reclaimed from plastic drink bottles and rubber from used tires. For each square foot of a waterhog eco mat, a 4 and a half little drink bottle is eliminated from the waste stream. For an 3x5 mat, around 60 drinks bottles are recycled.

Types Of Waterhog Entrance Mats

The different types of waterhog mats are:

· Waterhog Classic Mats – the most popular entrance mats, made with 20% recycled content

· Waterhog Premier Entrance Mats – a heavy duty mat, which has a unique diamond ridge design for removing dirt and water from your shoes. This type of mat also has a ECO version available.

· Waterhog Logo Mats – the most popular of all logo mats. Created using a distinct inlay process, ensuring the logo designs look crisp and sharp. Has a unique waffle design to aggressively remove dirt from shoes.

· Half Oval Grand Premier Waterhog Entrance Mats – Oval pattern design to remove dirt from shoes. Also has an ECO Version available.

· One End Grand Premier Waterhog Mats – Stylish design adds more of a decorative look to to your home. Also has an ECO version available.

· Two End Grand Premier Waterhog Mats – As with the One end mat above very stylish design adding to the decor of your home. Also has an ECO version available.

As you can see there are numerous different designs available, so you have a wide range to choose from.

Waterhog Car Mats

Although the waterhog mats are primarily used as entrance mats you can buy waterhog car mats. Like the waterhog doormats they are great at collecting dirt and absorbing any spills you may have. They also can have a rubber heel cushion to protect the mat from getting damaged by your heels and may well be the last car mat you will ever need to buy.

Waterhog mats are a great addition to anyone’s home not only serving a great function in avoiding trailing mud and water into your house but they also look fantastic as well.
